The incident happened six months after she wedded her husband at Ijegun road, Ikotun, Lagos State, western Nigeria where Dorcas resided with her husband, David Amoo.

According to P.M.News learned from the husband to the deceased, she was returning from work and boarded a tricycle commonly called keke to their house. But on the way the truck driver lost control of the vehicle and crushed the tricycle which resulted in her death.
She and the baby were confirmed her dead by doctors when she was rushed to the hospital.

The 40-year truck driver, Muyideen Oladosu, has been arrested and charged before Magistrate’s Court, Ejigbo for causing the death of Dorcas Amoo who was eight months pregnant before the incident happened. Oladosu who is now facing a murder charge under the Criminal Code Law of Lagos State pleaded not guilty.
He has been remanded in prison custody at Kirikiri while the matter was adjourned till 25 March, 2015.
