Several people feared dead, injured, while many others remain trapped following the collapse of a building in the premises of the Synagogue Church, Ikotun in Lagos.
6 storey building collapsed due to yet-to-be indentified reasons. This building serves as a guest house for people travelling from far and for foreign visitors of the Synagogue Church.
The collapse occurred in the afternoon. Persons in the church included foreign believers, church members and canteen workers. Many people are reported to have died with several others injured after a building inside the headquarters of the Synagogue Church of All Nations in Ikotun,
A military helicopter was seen hovering above the area. Storng police presence reported by multiple eyewitnesses as well. Many worshipers who lived inside the church were among those who died while some are believed to still be trapped under the rubble of the collapsed building. Four ambulance buses have arrived the scene, taking the injured to the hospital while the dead ones are being evacuated to the mortuary.
