INEC Warns Women not to use MakeUp on their hands at least 2weeks before Election

INEC has warned women against the use of henna, popularly called “lalle” in Hausa dialect, which is mosyly used by women up north to beautify themselves, at least two weeks before election to enable the card reader capture their finger print easily.
Bauchi State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Professor Hamman Saad Tukur, said this to let people know more on the new innovation introduced by the commission for the accreditation of voters, which is the “Card Readers” according to Daily Times reports

Prof. Tukur observed that with henna in their hands, the card reader will not capture the finger print, thereby wasting the electorate time and the chance of voting for the candidate of their choice will be dashed.

He explained that the card readers, when charged, will last for the duration of 24 hours while the election is only for 13 hours.
