President Goodluck Jonathan, has reportedly sent eight ministerial nominees to the Senate for screening and approval today.
The names as contained in a letter signed by Jonathan and read by Senate President David Mark, include senator Musiliu Obanikoro from Lagos state Punch Newspaper reports.
Others are, Mrs.Patricia Akwashiki (Nasarawa); Mrs. Hauwa’u Lawan (Jigawa); Prof nicholas Akise Ada (Benue); Col. Augustine Akobundu retd. (Abia); Mr. Fidelis Nwankwo (Ebonyi); Mr. Kenneth Kobani (Rivers) and Senator Joel Ikenya (Taraba). The Senate have yet to fix a date for the screening.

President Goodluck Jonathan according to the Cable Nigeria included the name of Obanikoro to pacify him and losing ties in the state chapter of the party because Obanikoro alleged that the primary election was rigged in favour of Agbaje and instituted a suit challenging Agbaje’s victory.
Wike emerged the most fortunate among his former ministerial colleagues, as he is the current candidate of PDP in Rivers state. Ortom defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), where he is the party’s flagbearer in Benue, while Maku is the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Nasarwa.
