All those who go to Wedding to eat...Supreme Court Rules one food will be used for Wedding, Pakistan

On January 15, the Supreme Court, decided only one main dish will be served at a wedding and unnecessary decoration banned. Pakistani expats in Dubai welcomed the decision and were of the opinion that it will cost less for poor families to marry off their daughters .

'It will be easier now for poor families to marry their daughters off. This rule should be strictly implemented throughout Pakistan for both rich and poor families. The rich are shouldn't be allowed to flout orders,' said Imtiaz Ahmad, a Pakistani expat living in Dubai.

The court stated that only one main dish would be allowed at wedding ceremonies. Guests may be served a curry, rice, nan, one type of salad and yogurt.

Managers and owners of wedding halls and catering services informed the authorities that they required some time to implement the rules.
