All this is said to be an effort to attract even more females to the workspace.

The Facebook Apple egg freezing hype began early for the social networking site this year. Whereas for Apple, the tech giant is set to offer the perk for female employees by Jan. 2015. Why exactly is there a need for Facebook and Apple's egg freezing hype? Well, the perk is intended to help women not having to choose between profession and motherhood. When the time comes, female employees can have the option of becoming a mother without having to risk their profession.

For the Facebook Apple egg freezing, both tech giants are offering a staggering amount of $20,000 per female employee. This amount is enough to cover the procedures of extracting and storing the eggs. The latest Facebook Apple egg freezing move might have been called a "nice perk" by Kellye Sheehan of Women in Technology but does it also entail something else?
