According to recent report as at September 2014. Dangote Cement Plc announced that it had reviewed the price of cement in the country downwards with about N100 slashed off the original price of each 50 kilogramme bag of cement.

But recently, i've been receiving different bbm broadcasts that, the Managing Director of the company, Mr. Edwin Devakumar, spoke to journalists in Lagos, beginning from today, distributors lifting cement from the various Dangote cement plants across the country, will pay N1000 less per 50 kilogramme bag of cement.

I also heard that, Devakumar stated that to further comply with the ongoing Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) directive and regulation on the various classes of cement and their prescribed uses, “Dangote Cement Plc has announced plans to launch its brand of the premium 32.5 cement grade, selling a lower price per bag than the price of the higher strength 42.5 grade.”
